The Opportunity

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure across our customer platforms — with automation, reliability and security at the centre of the work.

Key Responsibilities

Support & Maintenance

Keep customer platforms healthy and stable through preventive maintenance, controlled change, and participation in a 24×7 on-call rotation — with documentation and runbooks updated after every change or incident.

• Preventive maintenance, platform health and stability

Projects

Build and deploy AWS platforms to the Well-Architected Framework, with all infrastructure defined as code in Terraform, tested before release and seen through to go-live.

• Testing, roll-out and go-live

Innovation

Find the real technical problems and close them — through automation, AI-driven improvements to internal processes, and POCs that prove new tooling before it is adopted.

• Automation of routine operations

Customer Service

Deliver inside the service guardrails with a customer-first approach, so that retention improves through consistently better delivery.

Autonomy

Work independently with minimal peer guidance — researching thoroughly and arriving with proposed solutions rather than problems, while actively seeking senior validation to keep quality high.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum experience — please read before applying

1–2 years’ hands-on working experience in AWS and DevOps is the minimum requirement for this role.

• Cloud Architecture — scalable, secure AWS environments
• Infrastructure as Code & Containerisation — Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker
• Automation & Scripting — Python, Bash, AI automation tools for workflow and ticket management
• CI/CD — pipelines with automated security and code-quality scanning
• Observability & Reliability — monitoring, alerting, incident response
• DevOps & SRE — core principles, proactive problem-solving
• Communication & Collaboration — technical specs, runbooks, post-incident reviews; effective in a fast-paced team

Preferred Certifications

An AWS Associate-level certification or similar, preferably the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.

The Role

• Office-based (hybrid). We work on-site as a team, with hybrid working arrangements.
• 24×7 on-call roster, distributed across the Cloud Engineering Team.
